Artefactum

Músicas para un rey / VIII Centenario nacimiento Alfonso X el Sabio

With a track record of more than 25 years, Artefactum is one of the most emblematic ensembles of Spanish music from the 12th, 13th and 14th centuries - “centuries that were fundamental in the forging of our history”, to use the words of this leading exponent of early music. Artefactum has played at countless festivals and musical cycles, both in Spain and abroad, events on which they have always left their inimitable seal of quality and warmth.

This group from Seville had the honour of providing the musical finale to the celebrations held to mark Hispanic Heritage Day at the Universal Expo in Dubai, in an event held in the Spanish Pavilion, and now, courtesy of Acción Cultural Español, they are bringing to the Veranos de la Villa festival Music for a King, a selection of works that includes, most notably, the Canticles of Saint Mary, the masterpiece of Spanish King Alfonso X The Wise, the 8th centenary of whose birth the group will be celebrating in 2022.

Veranos de la Villa hosts in its programming, with the collaboration of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), a selection of the performances that participated in the Spanish Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020
