Literature, both read and spoken, is always the story of a journey, to another place, another time, another identity. A story that lets us live as many lives as there are books and tales to be told.

The stage is the privileged space for these journeys, because from there we are transported to other times and places in a journey that always has a common denominator: the collective. A theatre is a space of community and decision, and a chorus is the best representation of this collectivity put into words to convey the thoughts of a society. Thus has it been from the dawn of Greek theatre to the post-dramatic elaborations of the chorus.

A frenetic journey will take us around the world and through the different eras with the imagination and emotion of discovering new worlds (both geographical and poetic). Also to some journeys of our own, to memories of what we have heard, read or seen that are now incurably associated with an emotional memory.

The Spoken and Happy Word (Palabra Dicha y Dichosa) series is taking place in collaboration with the Juan March Foundation.
